Rdrancher recently commented on loving 'old iron'. Boy, howdy, so do I and it made me think about all the cool old stuff I see around here. I've decided to start snapping pictures as I drive around my area. I'll add more as I upload to photobucket; here's the first. (I don't know how to do thumbnails, sorry.)

Keep em coming. If I had my way I'd have a 20, 000 sqft barn full of old equipment.

The first one is a Minneapolis Moline.

What is it?

First subject, not a clue. I know the guy who owns it and next time I run into him I'll get more info.

The second is some kind of ancestor of the DitchWitch as best I can tell. The owner just died and I suspect his heirs will scrap it along with the rest of his stuff. Sad. I'm with you MikeR, given the resources I'd adopt and restore every old machine I could find.

From the same yard as the trencher(?). Dayum, I'd love to get my hands on this little cutie.

Even if I could not restore them I would much rather see then sit and rust back into the soil they worked for many a year on my own property where I know they won't get scrapped then get crushed and sent off to China or India.

How lame that I didn't find the sticky with thumbnail instructions before? I'm truly a digital idiot and apologize to those with slower connections.

Test:

 Fail.

Tried several more times with no luck. I can get it to post a link but not a thumbnail. Uncle.

You're right, I love old iron. Keep 'em coming!

Here's an old shredder I saw while picking up a new horse for my wife.

It truly was an experience. They almost had to kick me out. I have more pics ill post

I have only seen pics of most. I couldn't believe some of them. A Waterloo boy?? Really??

My favorite is that 77. I had an uncle who had one. I felt like I was 8 again. I miss him.

Also. Did anyone even know there was a row crop cub??

It all part of the tractor bug. Don't be ashamed to get kicked out. I could spend weeks there.
