Dose any one know how the old rope trip plow lifts worked? I would like to make a scale one for a tractor I am working on.

A pull on the rope would engage a cog on one wheel that would lift the plow out of the ground until it reached a latch.
Another pull on the rope would trip the latch and release the plow.
Best might be to find a plow and take a look at it. The wheel that lifted the plow usually had some cogs on it to gain some traction.
