Beautiful scenery. My favorite time of day too second only to sunset and dusk. What elevation are those taken at? Looks like you're on top of the world.

The elevation is 3291 feet; you can say it is the first "big" mountain coming from the Atlantic Ocean.

Also got this crazy idea to fly a kite up there next time.

Beautiful country, and the photos make me want to drop everything and go hiking in the Blue Ridge Mtns. I've never been there; think I have to correct that oversight soon!

Where we live we don't have to be worried about being distracted by gorgeous views. We have rain and lots of gray skies to keep our enthusiasm in check. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
