Wow! Pretty cool tractor pics. Sadly.....I remember some of those tractors when they were brand new. However, I never saw one of those fender models (like that Minnie Mo)......gotta wonder what they were thinking? :confused:

There were several of those types there.They were orchard models, I guess they were to slide under the limbs. there were also a bunch of propane models there which I didnt know they even made back then. What would be the use for those?

I'd imagine the LP models were bought just for cheap, clean fuel. Probably most farms had large bulk tanks set up for their grain dryers anyway, so they already had the storage.

I'm not sure what LP cost back in those days, but I can remember gasoline delivered at home for .28 per gallon, and that was with road tax. Dad didn't want to mess with claiming farm status with our little operation.

As late as 1973, non road gas was .21 per gallon, diesel was .18.

I can still remember the fit Dad threw, when it jumped up to .32
