I had a 1987 Ranger that I sold a number of years ago that had 256,000 miles on it. The last 2 years I ran it, the odometer didn't work so my guess is actual mileage was close to 300,000.
I used to use it to haul firewood from the farm to home, I had some helper springs on it and would load the bed with as much wood as it would hold every week during the summer ( about 22 weeks per year).
The only work ever done to the engine or drivetrain was one replacement of the cam belt and one idler pully.
That truck was bullet proof!!
