Old well. how do I adjust pressure switch?

Are you sure you only have a 2 in casing? that sounds more like the up pipe that has the pump on the end of it. It sounds just like a wind mill which you said it used to be. The sucker rod from the pipe goes down the up pipe and works the pump that is bolted to the bottom of the pipe. The 2 in pipe is inside a well casing of some sort.

If there is a larger casing outside the 2" then it is buried in the concrete floor of the pit. I know there was a windmill, there's a hatch in the roof of the pump house and the steel push rods and link are still around. No windmill though, darnit. I guess the best thing is to call a well guy to look at the situation before I do anything
