Older 7 iron decks

Will the 4000 and 4000ten series 7 iron mmm decks fit on the 3000twenty series tractors? I had a dealer on Machinefinder tell me the decks are basicly the same, but the attaching parts are different. Told me to get the attaching parts for my tractor and it should fit. Is this true? Has anyone had experience with this? I'm looking at a used 72" deck for my 3320. Wanted to make sure it would work before taking the plunge.

As I told you in the other post, I believe that to be 100% correct.

I have a deck for a 4510-4710 on my 4310. If anyone on here would know it would be kennyd!

I believe you Kennyd. Didn't mean to make it look like I didn't by posting twice. Thought I was going to be in a position to make a quick decsion, or loose the deal on the deck. Called the dealer that has the deck and it turns out they just got a 7 iron 72" in on trade. It is the correct model that fits my 3320.It has all the attaching parts and pto shaft with it. Going to look at it later this week. I must say, it seems used mmm are gold these days.

Sounds like you found a good unit. Finding all the attaching hardware to fit a MMM is not an easy or cheap task. It's always better to find one from the same series machine.

MMM's are like loaders, decent ones don't come up often as they are usually kept and sold with the tractor.

Just got back from the JD dealer with my deck. I was quite surprised, it looks almost brand new. They had everything to put it on my tractor except the rockshaft bracket. They couldn't find it. Dealer said they must have used it on another deck. So he ordered me a brand new one and will have it shipped to my house. I'll have to wait a few more days to mount it. Here are some picks..

Not sure what ,larrys axels are. Do you have pics? Is there somewhere on the JDwebsite I can find a diagram on how everything bolts up to the tractor? Kennyd, I thought I read somewhere that if you have the front 3point hitch and a mmm, you need different front brackets for the mower. I have the front 3pt, is this true? I also have a 60" Land Pride pull behind finish mower,model 2660, that I will be selling if anyone is interested.

Larry's Mower Axles are great, I have been using them for about 5 years now on my 60" MMM (he even has pictures on his site of my deck). The deck stores vertical and out of the way when not mounted.

I wish I could help you with the front 3PH/braket question, but I am not that familiar with it. Search JDParts may help, but getting the Install/Owners manual for the deck is probably best.

I found one that may apply, here is the Attachments page for the 3720 and here is the one for the 60" and 72" MMM's.
