older JD 750 4wd

a gentlemen close to me has one with about 300 hours on it for sale. Can anybody tell me anything about it and what its worth.

The 50series was JD's first entry into the compact tractor class and they are darn near indestructable.

Value is around $4k-$5k depending on region and accessories.

I have a 950 (27 PTO hp) with over 2100 hours. Great tractor. I have never heard anything but good about the 50 series (650/750/850/950/1050).

I have an 84 750 2wd with FEL and backhoe. No power steering either and I can steer it one handed with a load of wet sand in the FEL. I love the little tractor and have done a lot with it, pull a 4 foot bush hog, a 5 foot box blade, 6 foot landscape rake and a 6 foot back blade. With 2 wheel drive and pulling any of the implements, I run out of traction before I run out of power. Mines approaching 2000 hours as I use it alot. 300 hours is barely broken in /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
