Just returned from 13 days in Austria and while there I was made the first International member of the Neumarkt Oldtimer club and have the shirt to prove it...
Old Tractors and Cars have never been more popular and the locals plan monthly tractor tours with a big get together each August.
I really like the green Austrian made Steyr Diesel Tractors... they are simple and reliable... many have been faithfully mowing and pulling wagons for 75+ years... all with a single cylinder 15 hp diesel motor and many still have crank starts... most have 3 points and hydraulics... plus you got to love those fender seats?
Had the opportunity to drive the one "Highboy" with the yellow wheels on a 3 mile trek to a mountain inn where all the members enjoyed keg beer and smoke ham before returning down the mountain...
Crank starting a diesel when cold requires a match or lighter... being photographically challenged... I found this link short Youtube Video on the procedure...

Here is a link from a recent get together...
350 Oldtimer-Freunde trafen sich in Neumarkt-Pfongau und präsentierten ihre schönsten Exemplare - Flachgau - meinbezirk.at
Two more links for those musically inclined.
