I just had some time to try and hook up my 565 to my dk45 and found it is a catII? it was formerly pulled by a 50hp unit. I am wondering if it is possible/wise to get a ca1/2 converter and or reduce the pin size on the plow. I am planning to turn under about 2 acres of pasture for garden plot. I dont plan to use the plow again after the first turn. I plan on making rows 4' wide with 3' untilled spaces between the rows. I would then smooth it out and make the beds from there. I may also eventually get 2 or so acres of coarn/wheat going in the hay field for heating purposes.

Thoughts are always welcome

Kendrick, on my DK 55 the Cat II arms/end pieces were an option so I am thinking you should just pick up a set of Cat II arms and you're done. Check with the dealer the 45 may be different.

Another option to consider is if the tractor has replacable balls in the end of the lift arms. My JD 5520 does and an earlier larger Kubota did. I simply swapped may catII to catI, or the reverse, when needed.
Someone may correct me but I think that plow was made by White and is a great rig.

I looked on kioti's site it appears to be a option to get cat2 I will have to see how much it costs.

Whatever those lift arm balls cost it will be cheaper than the cross bar for the plow. I figure $15 for both lift balls and $200 for the cross beam for the plow but that is just a guess . Good luck and let us know the outcome please

Development. I looked at the lift arms and there is no way of just changing the balls... kioti has a system that the arm extends about 2" so that you can more easily attach impliments. once the impliment is attached you lift the arms and the impliments weight slides the arms back to the locked position. it is a piece of iron about 6" by 2" that has the cat ball holder welded to it. it could be longer but i cant see. it appears to be either pull the arms or disassemble the latch to replace that part. the attached sketch the black part would be what is needed or else the whole arm.

Well, can you replace the slide out part that has the ball welded to it? JD has a system like that. Never know but still looks cheaper.
Keep us posted

On my Mahindra, the lift arms have Cat II balls on one end, and Cat I balls on the other. To change over, you simply remove, reverse, and reinstall the lift arms. When set up for Cat I, the arms use a bushing in the cat II balls to attach to the tractor draft pins.

Is it possible that your Kioti DK45 is set up the same way?
