I have yet to see a digital camera that does not have the EXIF data. You typically will need to use photo software like Photoshop Elements to see everything from the date, time, shutter speed, aperature, flash on/off, focal length. There is a plethora of information. You typically don't turn it on or off, it's just there. Here is a link with some info about the Olympus Olympus
I guess you're asking about being able to automatically superimpose the time stamp on the digital image, a feature that many 35mm cameras have? I have seen that option on only a few digital cameras, and I don't think the 740 has it.
That might explain it then. I'm using the wrong software. It came with it's on software but I never installed it (CAMEDIA Master 4.1). I've been using the HP software that came with my printer.
I've noticed some pics here that have the Time/Date stamp and was wondering about it.
I would like that capability, too, so I Googled! and found some freeware that does what you want. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I haven't tried it, but I will, unless someone else recommends something better. Photo Dater
It works! - see attachment. You can specify the date stamp location and you can use the file date info, or make up your own date. You can also do batch processing, stamping a whole directory or selected files from a directory. A small and efficient program. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I started to post the question in Photos but wasn't quite sure where it belonged. If one of the moderators wants to move it to where it does belong, I'm fine with that.
I sent the author an e-mail, suggesting that he add the time as an option. I also suggested that he set up a PayPal link for donations. I always like to send a couple of bucks (by the way, nice picture of your deer!) to freeware authors for software that I download and use.
