Got myself some of my winter heat stacked or at least a portion of it ready for this fall. Last night the outdoor temps hit 41, way too cold for not even being fall yet.
I scattered $700 of grass seed on our new lawn last Thursday. We've been near 90 every day with a couple sprinkles since. Good thing I put it on thick. Success rate is gonna be low.

Winter? I would be happy with some Fall weather. I'm tired of the hot, humid, and rainy Summer weather. The crops needed the extended heat as most farms planted late.
Our coldest overnights have been dipping down into the mid 40s, but averaging around 50-55 and upper 70s lately for our highs. I too planted grass seed and threw down some food plot seed hoping to get a little growth before 1st frost. Either way the grass and food plot have been growing well. The turkeys did a hurting on the 2nd plot eating some of the seeds so we will see how that one fares. Here in NY I'm hoping we don't get frost at least until next month or later.
Frost out here this morning! 34 when I got up according to our weather station. Just spread compost the other day and need to mow again to clean it up, so please ignore any random lines and the darker looking areas, just compost waiting to get settled in
