Omni Transformer vs Heavy Hitch

It makes a nice fit when you are bolting it together. Cast bar has a bit rougher surface than rolled steel. That's the way I like it uh huh.

I just bought an Omni Transformer with weight bar and the basket accessory. Both are built like tanks. Full length welds everywhere. And they are all nice and neat. Come with full compliment of hardware too. I haven't had a chance to put it on my tractor yet. But, when I do I will post photos. I'm expecting it will stay on my X739 almost all the time.

Well it took all day, but I finally got the 3PH hitch installed on my new X739. What a PITA! Then I installed my Omni hitch

I understand that the rubber is to help match up the two surfaces better, but under heavy loading it may lead to loss of preload in the stack. This is not good for a bolted joint and should be avoided. Can you take a grinder to the uneven surface and flatten it out then shoot it with some paint and bolt it back without the rubber? That's a nice looking hitch adapter and I'd hate to see it come loose on you while you're working it hard. ... and do it the very best you can.

I am going to buy a weight bracket hitch combo to use as ballast for my FEL but am trying to decide on which hitch. Both seem to have advantages and disadvantage. I know I could go with a box for much less money but I like the flexibility of the suitcase weights and a few of the attachments each hitch offers.

Dislikes - no horizontal draw bar, extra cost to use 70lb weights, extra cost to have verticle reciever ($80 but does make it a super hitch with heavier metal)

To get a heavy hitch like I want would be $299 plus another $30 if I decided I want the option to use 70lb weights. The omni transformer is $240 once I buy a bolt on reciever.

Any thoughts or concerns on either hitch?

Rock @ OMNI here. For all of you who are wondering, the bolt on receiver is included with the the Transformer as well as 3/4" Grade 8 bolts to attach it. Also please consider that our Transformer is built with 3" x 3" x 1/2" angle compared to the 3/16" tube on the HeavyHitch. Price of the Transformer is $230 not $240.
