Backhoe ? on the KB 2085 backhoe

Vince,

If I had it to do again, I would have gone with the 18 inch bucket first too. In fact, I will probably add one to my collection. The 24 inch is nice for moving dirt and digging but I think the narrow bucket would be better for digging stumps (I have a lot to remove). I can't complain about the 24 inch so far though, about 10 less stumps on my lot to date. I haven't heard anything bad about the Rhino, let me know how you make out with it.

load height- 77" , 77"
swing arc - 180 deg. , 180 deg.
bucket rotation - 180 deg. , 180 deg.
ship weight - 980 lb. , 980 lb.
bucket dig force - 3550 lb. , 3550 lb.

I have an LK3054 that I'm looking to buy a backhoe for. My question is can anyone tell me or post a picture on how the sub frame that Kioti has connects to the back half of the tractor. And has anyone used or own a Koyker backhoe (made by Kelley) if so how was it.

Hi,
I have tried to attach a pic of the LK3054 sub-frame out of my kb2385 Backhoe manual. Looks like there is a little difference in the sub-frame depending on the tractor model. Look at my other posts for an attachment that shows the hoe I have for the DK-45. The pic shows the hoe setting on the ground after removal from the tractor. Sorry about the quality of the pic attached, I couldn't scan the book, had to snap a shot with the camera.

Thank you Nelson for the picture it came out good and does show me what I was looking for. Is that sub frame and mount on your set up strong enough that you can lift the tractor off the ground ? And if your digging off to the side of the tractor do you get any sideway movement/flexing in the sub frame ? Thanks again for your help.

Re: ? on the KB 2085 (2385) backhoe

<font color="blue"> The sub-frame is plenty strong enough to lift the tractor. When I am digging stumps and need a bit different angle, I lift the stabilizers, use the boom to pick up the rear wheels, and use the swing cyl. to set the rear of the tractor to the side. I know it isn't recommended but it is a trick I learned a long time ago and can't seem to give it up. Also, the other day I got myself into a huge pile of limbs and stuff pushing up a pile and didn't see a low stump which promptly hung me up by the frame under the hoe. The loader bucket curl wouldn't push me off it, so I used the little swing trick there too. It worked slick. Scooted right off the stump and drove away.

When digging, you can hear and feel the sub frame shifting around a little bit within the bracket. It has to have some play in it for ease of install and removal. It isn't a problem.

By the way, watch the hoses close. I thought I was but still got a scrape on the bucket extend hose where it goes through the boom. I am going to try for a warrantee claim. It shouldn't be that tight and or the opening that sharp. Shouldn't have any wear with only a couple hours on the hoe.

I hope this info has been helpful.

Re: ? on the KB 2085 (2385) backhoe

I picked up my new backhoe today. LOOKS GOOD !!
Rhino 85, 18" bucket and subframe.
I just need to install the hose kit and subframe brackets and I will be digging.
It was a 5 1/2 or 6 hour round trip to Group Farm Equipment to get the new backhoe(still in the crate, I finish assembly and mounting to the tractor but I got a great price $5200).
Thanks for the help on the backhoe questions everyone. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
