As far as I am concerned, Wix makes the best oil filters you can buy. So if you want to be able to get the filter for a little less money, get Wix. I would be very surprised if the Kubota filters are not manufactured by Wix.
As far as the oil goes, I would use Rotella. But, there are alot of high quality oils available for diesel engines. I would imagine that the pennzoil will be perfectly fine.
