Thanks for the replies everyone!
I'm going have to consider the suggestions - I like the two cylinder "look" but it just seems overkill for a compact. Thanks for the link RonMar and the trencher is an option to consider. Soundguy - that is one cool design.
John I'd already seen your Iseki - awesome job! What size are the other cylinders and do you know what size the pump is on the 1910? I have never worked with hydraulics so I'm going to need help there. Since I'm going to build without plans, figure I'll have to start with the cylinders and kinda build around them.
I found my tractor in the local paper. Everything seem to work fine, it's been repainted a close Iseki blue but is showing some minor rust, mostly around the rims and the battery area and the seat is torn. It also has a grill mounted on the front which has to go, but whoever made it cut the original bumper off. I'll have to fab a new one for the FEL mount. It has 1950 hrs and came without any implements - was $1750 a deal?
Speaking of implements, a Yanmar 3-pt tiller will connect, right? What about the driveshaft? Found one for $200 that seems in good condition.
Thanks again for the help and yes I'll take photos - among other things I'm a photographer. Worked as a machinist 17 yrs - pt photog at the time, full time about the last 10, and now getting into lawncare/landscaping. I'll post some pics of my new toy when it stops raining.
