Coke for me, if those are the choices. Otherwise I find nothing more refreshing than ice, cold lemonade. (Beer is ok, too /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif)

Paul, a case of Lime Ricky would make a fine christmas gift for one of your fellow TBN'ers. OK, maybe even a case of Birch Beer for GolfGar4. (I heard he's been good all year) /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Yep, I prefer the iced tea, also, without sweetening. We don't drink a lot of soft drinks, but keep either Coke or Pepsi and either 7-Up or Sprite on hand, depending on which one is on sale cheaper at the time; wouldn't give a penny for the difference. However, my brother and his wife and one of my wife's brothers and his wife gotta have Pepsi and I'll bet each of those couples go through 8 to 12 a day; almost constantly sipping Pepsi.

<font color=blue>"You mean this stuff?"</font color=blue>

Well, I don't know. It has the same name, but I think the name was more generic, like "Root Beer" or "Ginger Ale". Different brands of the same thing do taste differently. So I'd have to taste it to be sure.

But that's the first bottle of something even called Birch Beer that I've seen in a long time! Where can you get some of that?

Hey Jerry! Thanks for thinking of me! /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

By golly, maybe that stuff my minister is always preaching to us, like turn the other cheek, do unto others......, and the good shall inherit...uh....something, does work after all! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

The best "soft" drink I ever had was a ginger ale made in South Carolina (I think). My brother brought some to a family gathering on the outer banks. This stuff came in two strengths. The low power stuff was the strongest ginger ale I had ever tasted....the high power stuff would wake the dead.

A friend of mine makes both root beer and ginger ale. He brought a big bottle of his home made ginger ale in to work recently and it was really strong compared to our store-bought varieties. My British colleague said it tasted like the ginger ale they sell in England. You could really taste the ginger in it.

It's good on battery terminals, too.
