Thanks - I wrote my second reply to make me look smarter - too bad it didn't work, huh?

My son had a Kiwi-Lemonade at Applebee's tonight. He is a sugar sink and he couldn't stand the sweetness. We all tried it and it was some sweet. I think they used some kinda girly mixed drink ingredient.

Birch beer is available around here, as is cream soda. Lately I've been slipping a 2-liter of cream soda into the cart when shopping. The cream soda I remember from years back was clear, and this stuff is colored red but tastes pretty much the same.

Years ago there was a farm I stopped at regularly for a gallon of homemade root beer. One of the kids living there actually made it. Really good stuff.

Recently when Wifey and I hit the road for a trip, we stop at a "Sheetz" (gas, sandwiches, snacks here in PA) station. They have a deal where any size fountain drink is 99 cents. I grab the 44 ouncer, start with some ice, and fill it with Pepsi while making the dispenser sound like a machine gun. The dispenser squirts more syrup at the beginning of the tap, so the more "starts" per cup, the stronger the drink. When the Pepsi is gone, I get to munch on the ice. Simple pleasures..................chim

I'll remember that the next time they mix Rainex and a Armorall soaked rag on my windshield at the carwash. I had to stop and buy a couple of quarts of rubbing alcohol in a class "A" turd floater one night to wash the glop off. That's after driving about 20 miles with my head out the window. the people at that drugstore in Seabrook thought I was crazy. I think the mess had a layer of oak sap on it,too.

I've never tried Birch Beer but Cream soda is my favorite. The only thing better than that is going to A&W for a Root Beer.
