One night of roudyness leads to cops coming every night

I had an old man I helped forever when I was growing up,he got Alzheimer's was really bad. Long story short,I was coming home at dark and his truck lights was on and pointing to his garage,very strang so I pulled in to see if he was okay,and he pulled a gun on me in my truck,I left in a hurry. I told his family but few days later he took his own life.

My buddy's mom has Alzheimer's, he took her car from away from her over a year ago and now she's calling parking enforcement at her building to ticket the car that's parked in her old spot. Done it several times now, I can't imagine what the people were thinking when getting ticketed in there assigned parking spot.

Agree with the comments about showing compassion though... My father looked out for all of the older neighbors all of his life, it really $ucke$ to see the Alzheimer's take over.

Yeah, its hard to watch someone go through that. Just saps the emotion right out of you. My wife's grandma had it. Last 5 years of her life she didn't know who was who. But her body just kept going. She lived to 100.5 years old. Turned into an itty, bitty, tiny thing laying in a bed. So hard to watch.

My mother (81) was diagnosed just this week with it. I'm a little leery about the future.

Maybe, maybe not, this was my 60+ year old brother's 454 before he gave it to his son. His son and grandson build them in town and show them in car shows, no one has ever complained about any of them. Sometimes it's less about what you drive than how you drive.

Sorry to hear that. I'd suggest finding a support group through her physician as soon as possible. Lots of great resources out there. My wife's grandma was diagnosed in her 90's. First they tried having her uncle live with grandma, but he had his own issues. So they moved grandma in with my wife's mom and dad for a couple years. However, mom had liver problems (not from drinking, since childhood) and had to get a transplant. They could no longer care for grandma, so they had to move her to assisted living. That was just like a one-room apartment, with group activities, meals, laundry, etc.... except she was not allowed to leave the floor. There were probably 40 other patients on that floor. It was a good place and she seemed OK there. As the disease progressed, they moved her to higher and higher levels of assistance. It was hard to watch. They were compassionate. That was comforting.
