Every once in a while, these people have excellent deals on milsurp ammo:

Currently they are out of everything, but back in the good old days I bought some M193 from them at $0.10/round in case quantities. They also had Israeli milsurp Uzi ammo, 9mm para with extra hard primers, for a ridiculously low price if you were willing to buy at least 10,000 rounds.

Ended up ordering from Bud's Gun Shop. Cheapest on nearly everything and lower shipping. I guess the shipping was cheaper because they are closer. By the time you add the shipping costs in it pays to order everything from one place.
Only ordered seven boxes of ammo but got a few other things too.
I did notice that nearly everybody was out of the Speer 38 Special Gold Dot Short Barrel ammo. And the ones that had it were priced $3-8 a box higher than Bud's. Guess that is what everybody with a short barrelled 38 Special is buying for protection. All the internet reviews are good.
Instead I bought the Hornady Critical Defense +P to leave it loaded with. Also ordered another speedloader. The Safariland speed loader works best on my little J-frame S&W 5-shot. The HKS won't go all the way down on the cylinder. So now I will have the 5 rounds in the Smith plus two speedloaders. If that doesn't work then I run for the 12-guage.
Got some Fiocchi low powered for the wife to practice with. Lowest price there for that too. It had about the lowest muzzle energy of anything they had while the Critical Defense had the second highest.

Their prices use to be a lot better than they are now. My niece worked there while in college and they are a nice bunch of folks though.

I think Sportsmans and CheaperThanDirt are the same company. I think they both have a membership program that lowers the cost of shipping. I used to buy quite a bit of stuff from Sportsman but I have not bought in years just because I have not needed what they were selling. I bought some really good quality stuff at very reasonable prices.
One of the items I bought was a Swiss surplus wool coat. VERY, VERY nice. Quality is excellent. The price was so good I bought three of them. :laughing: I was standing in line at a bagel place one morning and the guy in front of me was wearing the same coat. :shocked:
He turned around and looked at me and my coat while I looked at his. :laughing: Ya had to laugh. I have never seen anyone wearing the coat since. What were the odds? Later,
