OK ... blame it on being translated 3 times ..... I -> B -> A

Why I don't know, you'll have to ask a Brit ;) ;)

Actually the original clutch was made in Italy for a Brit machine :confused2:

I am a Brit. That is how I know the problems. It is all due to the UK being part of the European Union. I did vite against it. Special deals have been done to give various countries the manufacturing capacity to provide equipment and parts across Europe. My nearest town (Castelo Branco) has the factory that makes all the electrical wiring for several cars made elsewhere - including Britain. My haymaking equipment is Italian made, as is my tractor.

OK, I got it now, but it's 4 times.

Made in Italy,
Sent to England
Imported to America

...and measured by a dumb Polack! :laughing:

No - and I know you have an Ariens.

wasn't meant as a joke ..... :) .... and a lot of the older ones are still scattered across Europe / Africa....

the Ariens tag doesn't bother me ( not really a tractor in the true sense ) but it's still fun to putter around on :thumbsup: ... and saves my poor back....

there's a diesel Ferguson just down the road ( before becoming MF) and a couple of Russian tractors set up for orchard use ( no I don't remember the name )

jaotguy, Wasn't meant to stir you up either. I just thought you might have missed that I show an NH as my tractor. There are Lamborghinis here, and in the UK. I think their standard colour is now a silver grey, but not certain. I saw a brand new (at the dealer's) ORANGE NH recently. Seemed somebody liked the colour and they had ordered it for him. Maybe he employs somebody, and at a distance you can see whether orange is moving better than you can blue.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with tractors such as the Ariens. They are extremely versatile and I should think would match some of the real tiny compacts I see around here.

Ah, the little grey Fergie........... If it was not this forum I would stick my neck out and say it was the best tractor ever made, but since it is TBN, I will not begin a huge argument, just that it was my favourite. I was sad to part with mine when I went to Australia. I had a couple of USSR tractors in Scotland before I came here - an 80hp Belarus and a smaller Zetor. Functional is how I would describe them, but the Belarus had a rainproof cab, and that is almost essential in northern Scotland.

heck .. no stirring taken :laughing:

I did missed the NH in your signature, but was hoping you had a Lambo ...

the guy down the street loves his Fergie also ( runs an orchard and berry farm )
