So I got my 4110 today. It rained so I couldn't really do much useful except look at it. At the moment it's sitting in the garage so I can look over everything. Found one Zerk that hadn't been greased, and a missing nut (no, no, not me, I was there.)

Anyway, while looking at it as it sat quietly in the garage, I suddenly realized that it wouldn't fit into my back yard! While I'd measured carefully and knew I had a foot clearence for the tractor, I hand't considered how wide the stabalizers were even in the up position. They are 5 inches too wide. So I pulled the cotter pins that go through the pins that hold the legs on and replaced them with the springy clip things (technical talk) so I can pop the stabalizer legs off when going from the front to the back of visa-versa or between close trees.

Just an FYI, the stabalizers are about 67 inches wide when fully raised on a 46 BH. The tractor is only 49 inches wide.

Getting my tractor delivered next saturday, concerned on fit in my garage as well

You said your backhoe is 67 inches wide when retracted, any idea how long it is when detached from the tractor?

Also, what model backhoe do you have, mine is a 48

I have a 46. I haven't taken it off, but if you take off the subframe with it, which is how it's usually done, it's going to be pretty long. The subframe goes all the way under to connect onto the FEL frame so it's up under the engine.

Hopefully someone with a 48 will know the dimensions for you. One other way to get this info is to go to the Deere web page and send them a note. I asked them how high the tall rops was since it wasn't in the literature. They responded within a day.

Mine fits in a small one car garage with a lot of other stuff. What I do is 1st lower the ROPS - and lower the BH a little bit to clear the top of my garage door opening. Then I start backing in - as I am getting about half way in I turn the BH boom about 18" to the right to clear my snow blower parked in the back. This also effectively shortens the length of the tractor so that I have a couple feet of walkaround room at the front.

I don't have the dimensions - but as you can see you can cheat on the length.

Hope this helps! Good Luck with the 4410.

They make a BH for a 4110? Finally?!? I have a 4100 and had to get a Woods 6500 BH. Nice unit but really too large for my tractor. Any pix of this 4110/46 combo? I'm really curious!
