Just a little more than 24 hours after the surgery and they have him sitting up in bed. I'll bet he's hugging one of the pillows for a while though.

It's real. He made the post quoted above on 3/27 on another board where he is a moderator, in fact has his own forum.

Several people replied immediately that they were happy to see he had come through it. A couple nearly matched Junkman's unique sense of humor in their posts - the one I liked best was:

On 4/4 he posted a wrapup in the parallel thread over there:

Thanks everyone......... I am on the mend now, and only have pain on a 1 - 10 scale of 7. They say that it will get better, but I don't believe that every time that I sneeze or cough. It hurts like ****. It is 2 weeks ago tomorrow that I had the surgery, and it seems like a month has gone by already. I kicked the pain meds, since they were making me more dopey that I already was, so now I just endure it, except for sleeping. I get about 3 hours sleep before they wear off, and then I am up for the remainder of the night. I just hope that in 6 or 8 weeks from now, it will all be over...... once again.... thanks for thinking of me... Junk....

I don't look in over there very often any more, but I just checked and see he is back in fine form. I count 16 posts from him yesterday, and 4 so far today.
