Operating a 33HP New Holland W/loader

The drive is done, will post a picture tomorrow AM. Todays project was taking out the top soil in the 10x16 area that is going to be the front porch. lay down landscape fabric and fill with pea gravel. Went real well but the box blade is better at digging than a loader.

So far I have put 28 hours on the clock with 3 days to go on the rental /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Still having fun....

Attached is a picture of the new circle drive.. The white areas next to the house are where I dug out the dirt and put in pea gravel. One is for a rock garden and one is where the porch is going. I am pretty happy with the way things turned out, not bad for a first timer.

Think I have pretty much decided on how I am going to do my tractor purchase when I get around to it.. Think I will just get an older used MF 135 or something I can mow and box blade with. Figure I can do this for about 5K. When I stack up enough projects for a loader I will just go rent this New Holland for a week. I don't have 16 to 20K and not sure I could justify it if I did.

Bob - You probably already have an idea of how handy an FEL can be. The longer you have it, the more uses you will find for it. If you are not in a hurry, you can probably find a good used CUT with FEL for a reasonable price. I bought a good used 1984 JD 950 (27 PTO hp), MFWD (4x4), FEL, PS, about 4 1/2 years ago for $8600.
