How many of you routinly take the tractor in and out of 4wd? I dont do much road time and seem to leave mine in 4wd most of the time. Just curious if others do the same, mine also has a loader and its very handy in 4wd-

in the winter its 100% of the time (snow here). In the summer i hardly ever use it, as it tears up my gravel too much. I have mostly flat acreage, so only need 4x4 when digging into a pile of **&&^^% or driving into/out of a hole.

The new DK45 is very powerful in or out of 4x4, so i sometimes don't even realize it isn't engaged.

If your operation does not require 4wd, I would avoid using it. For example, mowing.

About the only time I take it out of 4 wheel drive is when I get on the pavement, but my property is hilly, and wet most of the time.

Since you can engage and disengage the FWD while going I find that I switch in and out often in moving about the place, but it is in more than out.
