There was another thread about the operating temps of our tractors. I thought I had a problem with the thermostat and so ordered a new one, my L2500 is a 99 model. I wasn't sure of the open temp on the thermostat and waited until the new one came in. Interesting it has 71 degrees C on it, which converts to about 160 degrees F. (c*1.81+32). 160 is about 20 degrees lower than I expected. Really not sure why it's so low in these engines, seems this would allow for a lot of movement in temp. Since I only work on them this about all I can offer.
But it is a small spud of a thermostat to.. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
