Opinions on FELs

I don't ever recall saying the Quicke/Alo loaders were not as good if not better then the tractor mfg loader. I do know if you put an aftermarket loader on your new tractor and something happens where your tractor might break a front axel or housing somewhere then you are out of luck for any warranty claim. If you are looking for a loader for an older tractor out of warranty then buy whatever you want but if a warranty is an issue then you have to be careful.

Yes, the warrenty issue if something breaks - the tractor manufaturer will blame the loader company, & vice versa. Whatever they tell you before the sale, that's what happens after a break....

Also, aftermarket manufaturers tend to make larger loaders for a tractor than the tractor manufacturer does - it is a way to sell their aftermarket products. Our loader lifts more, higher, more break-out... This will stress the tractor more.

Even the point that the loader is built heavier means it is a bigger load for the tractor. Now, is it a better loader? Sure? Is it harder on the tractor, making it a poorer loader for your tractor? Sure. We can have it both ways. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I just love it, it does everything I need to do with a tractor that size. For the bigger jobs I might use my JD 550 dozer and the smaller jobs I use my power trac 422.
