Kubota B-2650
I've read both good reviews, and some concerns about Kubota possibly cutting corners on this model.

Flex in the floor panels as well as the fenders, etc..

Wondering what the current opinons are on this model after being in service for a while.

I don't own one but looked at them quite a bit when they came out, I didn't notice any corners being cut. The floor pan is rubber mounted and I have seen people think that it's flimsy because it moves when you step up on it.
I don't even notice the movement on my 2620 and enjoy not having feet that still vibrate once I get off it.
As to the fenders I didn't notice any excessive flex but I also don't hang off them, I guess if you were putting you're full weight on them to get on the platform they would flex a bit but even my old oliver crawler fenders flex.

Reportedly a well-established and popular model that has been out for a while. If they were deliberately "cutting corners" in design or build quality (something one doesn't normally associate with this company), there would have been be quite a stink about it, which isn't happening.

I have 250+ hours on mine, not one problem. Today used the chipper for about 4 hours. The step does move a little and the floor pan might also move but have not been concerned. Mine has the FEL, R4 filled tires, homemade weight barrel, pallet forks, heavy duty RCR1548 brush cutter, Wallenstein BX42 Chipper, telescopic lower links, 3rd function valve for a grapple that is on order. Lots of clearing up of old fields and woods. There are times that I wish I had a smaller tractor when working in the woods and there are times I'm thinking a small L series with more FEL capacity would be useful when moving dirt or using the pallet forks so I guess it is about the right size for my uses.

Only have 34.5 hours on mine, and I love it. Granted it is my first tractor, I'm sure I would be more than content with anything, but I think it's sized right for my needs.

I have five acres, two of which I mow with a smaller mower, and the other three is field which I want to reclaim. My property backs onto my neighbours 400 acres and he's started to reclaim his fields as well. I bought the tractor for brush hogging the field, driveway maintenance (both summer and winter), leveling out the two mowed acres, landscaping and moving fill, and maintaining a trail out back as well. Anything bigger I would be concerned with tearing up the lawn with R4's, as I don't think the turf tires would cut it for the work I want to do out back, and anything smaller, I don't think would tackle the tasks out back. For ME, it's what I think is the perfect medium.

I will add though, that as already mentioned, the step and floorboard does move when getting on, but once on, I have not noticed any other movement. Nor have I hung off the fender to attest to it's durability.
