Opti-2 for 2 cycle.... good or bad

   / Opti-2 for 2 cycle.... good or bad #31
Stihl just sent me this email...

"We are in receipt of and thank you for your e-mail. The oil to fuel ratio for all Stihl units is 50:1, or 2.6oz of Stihl two-cycle engine oil per one gallon of 89 octane or higher gas. This applies to all of our units, old or new. Using the HP Ultra oil in you older units will not harm them"

I always just wimp out and find myself just using a 50:1 mix calculator to measure oil. I usually like to bump the mix to 45:1 if I know I'm going to be running it at WOT often.
