optimas for 03 series tractors???????

does anybody know which optima battery is the right one to fit my jd 5203?does such an animal even exist?if not does anyone know of another gel type battery that would fit with no mods?

I would think on your 03 there would be enough room to have a lot of flexibility on size/configuration. Measure the oem battery (note the pole placement) and estimate how much bigger you could get away with if necessary then just eyeball this chart:

Optima Chart

Scroll down - it covers both red and yellow tops. Look up the CCA etc specs on the oem battery and just make sure you've got those equaled or beat and I would think you're good to go.
