I can see clearly that the snowplough main frame in the supplied pic is built of 1/2" metal for it's frame while the "A" frame for my plough is (1/8") I could use 1/2" flat stock for my new brackets... but wouldn't 1/4" flat stock be okay to use being my main "A" frame is way lighter built....whatever metal thickness I use...I plan on using two 1/2" shoulder bolts to mount the lenght of flat stock across one end of the "A" frame.

I don't plan on welding anything to the "A" frame...my plan is to use bolts to mount the bracket to connect the one end of the cylinder ... I plan on doing the same for the swivel flat stock bracket for front end of the cylinder using .... for this one I can use 3 exsisting bolt holes to mount bracket.

I really don't like welding or drilling holes in factory built stuff...but sometimes this can't be avoided....before I do anything..... I'll be doing a mock up...for example.... connecting all the hydraulics so I can measure the travel of the angle cylinder and the lift cylinder as I need to weld a 1/2" tab to the top part...I can't seem to pull out the cylinders by hand unless someone has an easy way to do this...lookin' for advice and if my plan is gonna' work okay for my system....thanks in advance....Ampa

I built this one from scratch. :thumbsup:The contol valve is from an Old Monarch belt drive snow plow pump. It has power/up and gravity down w/float and angling function. I have another valve if anyone is interested. Works really well w/o any chains on the tractor. Check out the stickers. After the 1st season, had to add strengthening ribs to the blade. Got a bit bent?:mad:
I could probably build another complete plow if anyone is interested.

@uncleaddy,

What did you do for your hydraulics? I assume you had a joystick. Your pictures indicated you have changed the OEM setup. Why? What did you do for the plumbing?

The tractor originally came without the hydraulic joystick controls. Came with just the three lines at the front side of the tractor and the mounting frame on either side. I used the pressure and tank lines and ran them to an old Monarch belt drive snowplow valve. I have a couple more of the valves kicking around if anyone is interested in one. My email address is jmayer03@gmail.com . Thanks for looking.

Chris. Nice setup! Can you recall specs on the cylinder you used here?
