I can see clearly that the snowplough main frame in the supplied pic is built of 1/2" metal for it's frame while the "A" frame for my plough is (1/8") I could use 1/2" flat stock for my new brackets... but wouldn't 1/4" flat stock be okay to use being my main "A" frame is way lighter built....whatever metal thickness I use...I plan on using two 1/2" shoulder bolts to mount the lenght of flat stock across one end of the "A" frame.
I don't plan on welding anything to the "A" frame...my plan is to use bolts to mount the bracket to connect the one end of the cylinder ... I plan on doing the same for the swivel flat stock bracket for front end of the cylinder using .... for this one I can use 3 exsisting bolt holes to mount bracket.
I really don't like welding or drilling holes in factory built stuff...but sometimes this can't be avoided....before I do anything..... I'll be doing a mock up...for example.... connecting all the hydraulics so I can measure the travel of the angle cylinder and the lift cylinder as I need to weld a 1/2" tab to the top part...I can't seem to pull out the cylinders by hand unless someone has an easy way to do this...lookin' for advice and if my plan is gonna' work okay for my system....thanks in advance....Ampa
