Congratulations! Very nice machine. You will be happy with the HD bucket. It won't ever get a bend in the top like your old one had!

Enjoy your time in that comfy new seat!

Hey James, do you know how heavy your tractor is with loaded tires and FEL? I realized today that with loaded tires my new tractor will be 2,000 lbs heavier than my old one (new will weigh 6,000 lbs). I guess I've been slightly paranoid today that the weight is too much for the 37 hp. Can anyone tell me if this is a valid concern, or am I worrying over nothing?

You'll be fine. My Kioti CK30 with cab, bh and loaded tires comes in at 6500# according to my dealer, and the 30 hp is sufficient for most of my needs. I would have liked a little more for traveling in high and in low driving into a pile while raising and curling the bucket can cause it to bog down.

What a beautiful machine! I am so happy for you:thumbsup: You have asked a lot of questions, and they were all good ones. You have done good work on your research, and it has paid off. Enjoy your new tractor..I took the day off and Just come in for lunch, been out racking up the hours.. thinking I might have to do the 50 THIS weekend.

Thanks everyone. I think I am going to be really happy. Hooking up is a lot easier. Everything about the tractor is smoother. I got one hour on it before I had to leave for work. Mowed and used the ratchet rake. Made sure to use 4wd and even needed it once, it was great to have it. It feels a lot more stable and parts of my yard that I didn't mow with my old tractor felt fine to mow with the new one. Also, the loader will reach a LOT higher than my old one! I was able to move my rickety greenhouse because A: I could lift it high enough and B: I was able to move slowly and precisely so as not to shake it to pieces.

I will say that it is not any smaller than my old tractor, and the HST will take some getting used to (but in a good way!) It seemed smaller on the lot next to all those larger tractors, but I think it is the same size as my old tractor, and the bucket is bigger. The tires hit me in the same spot. Nevertheless, I think I made the right choice! I would still love to have a B-or-so sized tractor, but I would hate to rely on one for my 10 acres.

Thanks to all you guys I feel I made a strong choice. Thanks for all the help (tedious as it must have been at times)! I'm a happy camper :)

I wish I were still out on it. I did manage to get another hour in today before I had to come to work. I finally got the ROPS to fold (those bolts are TIGHT!) and now it is parked happily in my "shed." It's funny, the tractor itself isn't any higher than my old one, but the ROPS is a good six inches higher.

Let's see... Took it out to check the mail :). Played around with and without AutoThrottle. Tried backing uphill where it was steep, couldn't, so switched to 4x4 and zoom! up I went :) Worked a little with the ratchet rake and these words escaped my mouth: oh my god, this is SO much better!! James, you are an angel for pushing the hydro so much. The H-DS feature is da bomb.

The tractor already seems "smaller" as I'm getting accustomed to the HST.

I rode around awhile and it is so much more comfortable to sit and drive. The tilt and better seat are great, and the tractor is a lot less bouncy with its greater weight, wider tires, and wider footprint.

I pretty much have my chores caught up for now, so I'm going to have to wait for the grass to grow or come up with some new projects. I am even more confident that this is the right tractor for me! Fits like a glove.
