OT-- machinery sounds that bring back memories.

Three sounds that really do it for me are the John Deere A at work, Stearman 450hp biplane crop duster, and the B-36 flying over. I don't think I could confuse those sounds with anything else.

Do you have some distinctive equipment sounds in your memory?

Military fighters buzzing the tower at our local airport just after they do the fly-by at Notre Dame football games. I run outside every time.

C5 Galaxy. Weird sounding plane.

Goodyear blimp. Sounds like a blimp!

Beechcraft Starship.... really unique sound.
