OT - sci-fi tv shows on video? (dvd)

I've got up to season 8 of Stargate tv shows on video collection.. any idea if 9 is out? and where?

Also.. anyone selling the New 'Enterprise' star trek on dvd ?

Too hot to be out on the tractor.. gotta hit some TV time to cool down!!

Have you done "Firefly", the TV series? And last year's follow up movie, "Trinity"? Loved both.

Tried to get into "Farscape" and couldn't do it.

Netflix only shows Stargate on DVD through 8 seasons.

Hmm.. firefly.. name sounds familiar.. can't put a thumb on it or trinity.

Did watch something called 'serenity'.. pretty neat.. but I havn't seen it around anymore..

Any ideas on those?

Wayne, I agree with you about Farscape, it is just not something that I can really get into. Stargate is OK, but Stargate Atlantis is much better! We get Enterprise on broadcast TV out of Chicago and I still wish that wasn't cancelled. But my favorite was DS9.

"Firefly's" TV series morphed into a movie that was called "Serenity" not "Trinity" which wrapped up the series. . . and all three of us are old sci-fi geeks and I just realized how sad that is But Serenity was a great flick!!!

I have the first 2 seasons of enterprise borrowed from my sister. so they were out there if not still out there. I believe she has the rest of them as well.

Yes Serenity is firefly. 10 episodes + the movie so far.

Well gotta go re energize the graviton coils in the tractor, and mount the tractor beam on the back (boom pole). Later

I knew it was a "nity" It's neat to discover a good series after the fact (I for one essentially do not watch television unless there's something in the DVD player) and enjoy it, but it ends so quickly when you watch 3-4 episodes a week. Since joining netflix I have previewed a lot of series, and few have made the cut to ordering the 2nd disc. Band of Brothers (not sci-fi of course) my sons and I devoured. Wonderful production. Got "Dead like me" on the recommendation of someone, and watched all of it too...we all thought it had a high "cute" factor and thoroughly enjoyed the unique characters.

OK--do you guys have your phasers? Eterna Found these 7 years ago....the best led I have ever had (and I am an led addict) for the $$. Looks so much like a phaser (yes, OF COURSE I know what a real one looks like. Don't you? ) that I actually had several other geezers buy them for just that reason. It really is an awesome light---read about it. 1000+ hour battery life for one model.

There are 4 seasons of Star Trek Enterprise out on DVD. You can find out about TV series out on DVD at the following web site: TVShowsOnDVD.com It has info on upcoming releases as well. Good website. Also if it is Stargate SG-1 you are interested in the answer is no, Season 9 is not out yet, only thru Season 8 is currently out.
