OT - sci-fi tv shows on video? (dvd)

You guys are NUTS the new SciFi Battlestar sucks!!! But the original . . . now that was a good series

I think Firefly is one of the best, easily as good as the Star Trek shows. Too bad it met its demise.

I like the old shows too. You can still catch Buck Rogers on the all day things on Scifi. I did like the ladies uniforms better in the old shows, that is fer sure

I got hooked on Babylon 5 and the DVDs FINALLY went down in price last Mayish so I bought the five years of shows. I liked DS9 but then it seems that it started to copy B5. B5 is the best thing in SciFi I have seen on TV. It maybe the best thing I have seen on TV.

I really liked Farscape and it got better when they started to get an Arc like B5 but then it went missing and got canceled. The last Enterprise had some potential but the producers messed it up. Great idea but they really trashed the show. Enterprise was getting interesting again when it got an Arc but then it too was canceled.....

The Nero Wolfe mysteries are excellent but that show was also cancled but at least they played the reruns. Great Show. But the reruns have now stopped as well.

So now I only watch the Midsomer Murders mysteries, Poirot and All Creatures Great and Small. On Sunday at 2:00 they start playing Midsomer and Poirot until 6:00. At 7:00 All Creatures comes on and then another Midsommer at 9:00. Its the only TV I watch anymore except for the kids TV. If not for the kids we would pull the plug paying for TV and just buy DVDs.....

I remember watch the Gerard Buck Rogers and like 'em.

Never like BSG though.

Hundreds of channel and not a danged thing worth watching....

I forgot all about B5. I agree that was a great series too. Better than DS9. My daughter really liked 7 of 9 and Katherine Janeway on Voyager.

I'm jelous of those of you who get to watch the Sci-Fi channel (the wife an I agree that with cable/satellite, the kids would be too tempted to stay in front of the tube). Have a really trekky of a bil(has the originall Star Trek series on DVD). Have to resort to alternate means to keep up with Stargate-Atlantis (gotta love DVRs and the internet).
