Other Equipment Powered By Kubota

I have a portable-truck mount, 5000 pound (lift cap.) fork lift that is powered by a 50 H.P. Kubota. The lift has just under 300 hours on it now. I have the engine serviced after every 25 hour's service. The Kubota operates quiet and, has performed excellent at maximum ratings. /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

Anyone else have any Kubota powered non-kubota brand equipment stories to share?

Cowboy, I have no idea how many types of equipment are powered by Kubota engines, but a few years ago my brother gave me a Kubota workshop manual for the "70mm STROKE SERIES" diesel engines because it included what appears to be the same engine as my B7100 had. He had acquired the manual because that engine was being used in one of the big diesel motorhome AC generators. I've forgotten which brand of generator he said it was, but maybe Gordon knows.

There is a engine for sale on EBAY that is out of something other than a Kubota tractor. 4 cyl. 36 hp. price was up to $410.00. Go to EBAY and do a search on Kubota if your interested.

Cowboy, A good friend sells and services Bob Cat skid loaders and many of them use Kubota engines. I don't have one, but sure would like to. His praise of Kubota engines is part of why I bought a Kubota tractor. One of the more interesting Kubota engine uses I have seen was along the gulf coast of Florida. While looking at oyster fishing boats I noticed that many of them run Kubota's.

Bobcat 700 series is/was using Kubota as the diesel. On Bobcats, you pretty much use the engine at full throttle. On the 800 series they had an Isuzu diesel. I have not used a Bobcat for a few years and I know they have made some changes, but I'll bet they still have Kubotas in them. Of the many different tractors I have used, the Kubota diesel is tops, especially compared to my older Ford/New Holland 2120. My favorite diesels from Kubota are the 5 cylinder models, strong, clean and frugel on fuel. Rat...

I just found another item... a Kubota meat scale. The first I had heard of it, it appears to have a 25-lb capacity! Probably was made at least 10-15 years ago.
