Thanks FL, that's what I thought. A shorty set of double V's for the PTO and the spindle drive belt for the deck. 3 belts total in mowing format. $3950 is still hard for me to believe though as a new 2550 costs that much if not more. Dealer cost on a 3100 series + deck has got to be way more than that.

The PTO belts (2) drive both the front attachments (blowers) and the drive shaft to the mowing deck. The drive shaft to the mower deck is by far the most important advantage over any mule drive or sepertine belt system. The 2 PTO belts are prety much protected in the front and sides. The sepertine belts are easily nicked by sticks and debris. You never have to worry about belts jumping off the pully on the PTO - its automatically adjusted by the vacuum mechanism. Im up to 250 hrs now on a 3204 -never replaced a belt on either the decks ( I got 3 different sizes) or the PTO's (which still look great). I get the machine buried every fall in leaves, stick and debris - its not something that a mule drive or sepertine belt would last in - like my older Cub 125 would lose a belt in those conditions

I modified OC 190-192 50" Cub Cadet Tripple Grass Catcher for my GT3100 with a cost of about 3 dollars for modified parts and the grass catcher with shipping included was 250 dollars on EBAY. Works like a charm.
