Actually, I don't recall the particulars of any tractor I may have test driven. I have a hard enough time remembering which kitchen cupboard to open to get a coffee mug or plate.

So I figure its time to take off the snowblower and put the loader back on for the summer. I'm having difficulty with getting the loader hoses to re-connect. (pic shows initial delivery, tags were incorrect but dealer fixed that.)

I've tried both pushing and pulling on the hoses (female end) to try and insert the loader hose (male end). I've jiggled the joystick in all directions to release pressure. So its either I'm missing some key step or I don't have the strength to push in the hoses. Suggestions appreciated.

Of course, you are lifting the collar ring when trying to insert.
Some guys take a 16 penny nail or phillips screw driver and push on the core of the lines to try and release pressure. Those hoses on the FEL must have some pressure in them.

In the future, you can be sure to circle the joystick, releasing all pressure before disconnecting.

Sometimes these things are stubborn, but the pressure has to be released. I understand not being the sun helps, as heat creates expansion. Try the nail or screwdriver and see if you can release until a fluid drips.

I agree! It's almost surely pressure in the implement lines. BUT, when releasing point the end in a safe direction, the fluid can shoot quite some distance. I use channel locks to release the pressure as I can stand a few inches from and better control the direction.

HI,

It must have been the daytime sun, since I was trying to hook it up in the dieing rays of the evening sun. I tried this morning and they popped right it.

Lifthing the collar rings is too difficult given the position of them. I watched the mechanic one time pull on the hoses which had the same effect and he said it was ok to do. Good enough for me.
