Our new 4310 arrives this morning

Its now working...

So yesterday afternoon the service guy showed up, looked underneath the tractor and found a trailing wire that had been snagged.

told us this is the third one he's fixed, and considers it to be a design flaw.

since I'm getting this second-hand... have you heard of this? Why would you put a wire underneath a tractor that can easily get pulled?

(of course, I'd have checked this out myself, but I didn't get home till long after midnight due to hangin out at the ballpark watching my cubbies kick some braves butt!) /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I heard of one guy whose rear pto stopped working. He found a connection underneath that had been pulled loose. When I heard this story I crawled underneath my 4310 to look for loose wires and they had all been tied up pretty tight. I don't know if this problem is a design flaw, manufacturing QC problem or lack of proper dealer prep.

HorseMom, I'm glad it was something simple (too bad he didn't find it on Friday /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif). Who know it might have been the wire to that seat switch I was telling you about. Almost everything on the 4_10 series are electronic controlled so when something stops working first thing to do is check the fuses and connections. I've been under my tractor and never noticed any wires that would be easy to snag nor have I ever snagged one... and I do a lot of work in brushy areas!

It's cool - it's alot more powerful and stable than the old one. I love the forward and the reverse pedals!
