WayneCounty Hose, I am from Carbon County.

Thanks everyone. I am looking at 6-8 weeks and I will be back to working on my projects. This will give me more time to get ideas on projects/tools/equipment etc.

cade, rest easy. Not much going on in NE pa right now anyway. I suffered thru triple hernia surgery that past summer. It was a long, slow healing process which kinda hurt my landscaping business. On the plus side, I'm a little more careful about what and how I do things.

the last time i was in bushkill (4 years ago) I noticed the developments took over the farm land. Especially near the Elementary school.

Mivajo's is a favorite as well.

I have the next few weeks of sitting on my butt checking out the tractor by net articles and planning my projects for the year. I broke my ankle in three places (Not a tractor related injury) and I am not allowed (not that I could) to drive for a few weeks. Keep the posts going and make sure you guys add the pictures so I have something to keep me busy. I hope it doesn't snow until I am back in action:D !

How did you break it???

jumped down to the ground, from about 6 feet up and landed poorly. I guess 250 lbs coming down on an ankle isn't a good idea! One thing I learned is take the time and stop being impatient.

My Dad lives over on Clearfield road in Nazareth. He needs some tree cutting done. Can you do this? They hang over his house.

Man I broke mine about 10 years ago. Of all things playing paintball. I didn't see that hole in the ground as I was running down a hill. I remember hearing it break, then after I fell, looked at my knee pointing one way and my foot the other (you'd think someone almost 50 would know better). It was in wintertime also and had to wait it out at home for a few weeks until I could get around.
After the pins and various hardware to keep it together, it doesn't have much movement, but other than that it's ok now.
Just don't park in a handicap spot unless your car is registered. I knew better, but parked in one when I had a cast all the way up to my , well anyhow, a long cast. Came out of the store and a ticket was on the window. Went to court (downtown Memphis) complete with cast and crutches, only to be told to pay the fine on the way out. Those spots are for handicap registered vehicles, not for handicapped people. It's funny now, but sure wasn't then.
All the best to you and we'll try to keep you entertained here. I know those weeks sitting around the house can get to be mighty long..

I know how you feel, Cade. I've been off work since October after trashing my knee. That cooped up feeling drives me nuts. I go to the doc. next Friday, and he'll probably send me back to work. Can't wait to be normal again. Prayers for your quick recovery.
Pat

I hate to give you a crappy answer, but, it depends on how tall and what flavor. I try to stay away from that type of work since there are so many companies in the area that specialize in tree removal. Another landscaper friend of mine does some as well. If you want, I can PM you some local outfits. Clearfield rd is the next street behind me. I'm accross from the golf course pond right on 512.
