Out of state tractor sale

People drive down to Oregon all the time when buying expensive items, it all depends on whether the drive is cost effective.

Since sales tax in Seattle is now 9%, and Oregon is 0%, its a big difference.

My tractor store is in Maine. If I buy something at the store, I pay sales tax. If they deliver to NH then no tax.

I am not familar with your tax laws. Here in Texas, you pay sales tax on individual use. But if the tractor is used for agricultural there is no sales tax, but you have to register with the state and get an agricultural tax id number.

I would pay the tax and be done with it. In my opinion, it's not worth having the tax man knocking at your door...plus you may find yourself paying the taxes you didn't pay plus penalties, interest, etc....

Honesty is always the best policy.
