Used the winch to pull the small trees the way I wanted them to fall

A lot of times it's the easiest way to get a tree to fall where you want it to, and that is some beautiful country you live in.

Getting the trees out of the way, they lay there until the leafs suck them dry, used a lot of my 50m winch wire.








Using a snatch block to move them where I wants them to be

Very beautiful countryside there. What are normal high temps in summer and normal lows in winter there ?

Its hot at the moment, been around 30C, and the last winters have been cold in the -10 to -18

Thank goodness for the conversion app on the smart phone. I never could remember how to do the Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion with negative temps!

interesting 3pt hitch thing ya got there, legs, winch, hooks for chains, looks like old cutting edge for a FEL bucket or something to hook some chains in at bottom. A shape plate to keep logs from coming back into the tires / 3pt hitch.

did ya just use what ya had and weld that all together? or is a bigger piece from something?

Its factory made, its a logging winch and are made for that purpose I'm using it for.

*looks jealous* big old spool for the cable. ability to chain a few trees easily to back end, safety pull rope to get out of distance if cable breaks while winching. extra spots for holding chain / cables / chokes. drop legs to keep the machine from pulling backwards / down a hill *drools*
