O.K. I have an X10 wide angle cam on my pool in the summer. I can watch it on any TV in the house by switching to channel 3. The picture and sound are great for a $50.00 camera. I also have a few others around the place that are connected to an old video switcher that I picked up for free.
This can feed a bunch of different things. I could run it into a time lapse VCR or a PC video capture card and record a picture each time the picture changes as an image recorded on the hard drive. The more time delay I have between cameras, the fewer pictures I have. I'd save small pictures, but they will do fine. If I had a multiple input video card, I could use the motion sensing software on all of the inputs and have pictures only when motion is detected in the picture, or even video clips.
So far, all I have gotten is pictures of the occasional UPS delivery and lots of robins pooping on my fence.
