Outer Air Filter, 1455v

I priced the outer air filter for a 1455v at my dealer today... $70.00. Mine isn't in really bad shape, but I've worked in a lot of dust through the summer and thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to change it, but at these prices??? Can these filters be bought from other suppliers that will work? I'll certainly check it out, but thought I'd complain here about the price.

Glenn,
Check with Jack's Small Engines. They are usually about 20% lower than list. Also check your manual, It tells how to clean the filter.

Hey Glenn, like Jerry said, the outer filter can be cleaned many times before it has to be replaced. The outer filter catches most of the larger particles and the inner get's whats left.

As long as you don't get it wet or blow holes in it by using to much compressed air, it will last a long time. Check your manual for maintenance recommendations.
