Outrigger on new BH does not have much downforce...?

Okay, ran it again on Tuesday and it still creeps. I still have to turn around every few minutes and pull up the boom. Right now I need it for some tree work so I cannot take it apart. As soon as this house build gets off the ground and I can take some time with the machine I'm starting with the check valves. My only concern is I'll probably have to pull the whole assembly out again in order to pull the valves out the top and the bottom.
I will update as soon as I know something. Thanks for all the help!

I am not understanding something here, as HERON says the BH works perfectly. But the boom drops with valve lever in neutral.

There is a leakage for just about all things hydraulic.

Can you say that the valve relief will activate when you grab a large load or fully extend or retract the boom?

You can check the source of the boom drop by putting a needle valve in the rod end cyl, if it is a boom pull cyl. With the boom full closed, turn the needle valve closed, and if the boom drops, then you can assume the boom cyl seals are leaking.

Sources of leakage, valve spool, cyl seals, perhaps load check valve.

I can find very little about trouble with load checks, relating to problems, causes, and fixes.

You might ask the manufacturer what is an acceptable leak rate, for say a boom cyl.
