Outside or garaged!

I like inside storage for resale value. I can tell the difference between my indoor-stored L-39 and one that's the same age left outside.

Hopefully my L-39 will sell for a bit more because it still looks new-ish.

I keep my tractor and MMM in 'sheep shack" or pole barn. I keep the Agric roto tiller under a Doug Fir. I'm just now buying a roto mower.

Between the roto tiller and the mower I have about $2500 so I think I need another lean to or pole barn.

Anyone have any ideas on how to store an expensive rotary mower? I was just going to store it under another fir tree??

I think most people, including farmers, just store their rotary mowers outside. You DO have to keep it well lubricated to prevent rust. I currently have a 10' rotary cutter that I keep outside and it cost quite a bit. It does bother me to do so. I've only had it for 6 weeks. I want to build a 3-sided slant roof shed to store my implements out of the elements. I could have them all lined up with one whole side open. That way I could just pull right up and hook up which ever one I wanted. Of course, the tractor would still stay in the barn.:D

I'm building a 40x60 with a 15x60 lean to and will hopefully have all of my equipment under roof in the next 30 days.
This is my hope also, but with one difference. Mine will be in 30 YEARS. :D

I built a 24 x 32 garage in 2005. Never did I think that my L3400 with Fel would fit in the back & wife's CRV in front with room to walk. So, along with my 3/4 ton pickup & snowplow, they are all in the heated garage. Minimum temp this winter in there was 35 deg.

Inside!!!

My wife's car can endure the elements better than the tractor can. Besides it is easier to pull in the block heater when it is in the barn.

Good grief!! You really know how to make use of space! How tall is your garage door? I wish I would've put 12-foot doors in my garage. Unless I took my canopy off my ROPS I can't get mine in there if I wanted to. All the more reason to eventually build a new "tractor garage" with 12 foot doors.:D

I think he hangs the L3400 on the wall. And hoists the CRV up on one of those bike pully things.

I have a 3-car about the same size that I keep a LR Freelander, an Expedition, the BX with implements, a work bench, and all government-required garage implements (generator, compressor, welder, shovels, rakes, jacks, refrigerator, duct-tape, zip-ties, safety goggles, bug spray, etc.) and can still walk around...quite nice. But an L? And the HD Pickup is a heck of a lot longer than my Expedition. Wow.

I am curious, though. If it is heated, I sure hope the minimum temp was 35 degrees. You must be trying to minimize energy costs and keep your spare water from freezing...

Mine will be kept inside the heated shop right next to my other toy!
