Over packaging = high $$ shipping??

I love Amazon. The closest city with a Walmart is 25 miles away...call it $15 to drive there and back. Prime allows me to order almost anything with free shipping. Ordered a backup camera system two days ago and got it today. Paid less the $70.

Many other examples. For us hillbillies, it works.

There is NO such thing as 'free shipping'. You're paying for it in the subscription, in the price of the item and in higher rates for postage and when using other carriers.

I got a USPS box the other day & it was a REGIONAL BOX..?? Ive never seen one of those before..
& the stamp on that was 9-10.00?? It bigger than a small flat rate box & smaller than a medium fl.rt box..
ITS PERFECT for some of the work I ship out.. I asked abut that box at the PO & they didn't have any..
..so I got online & had them shipped to my house..FREE.
I haven't had a chance to use them yet but I'll keep u informed.. Check'm out next time u need to ship something. "Regional box"

True, but First class delivery times are 5 to 15 days. Average around 7. Also no web tracking.

If a customer has not received their order by day 4, they are wearing me out and saying a lot of unkind things.

Granted the occasional customer would appreciate the savings, the vast majority just wont tolerate it.

So everything ships priority mail. It is max of 3 days and tracking is included.

I got my cutting tip today and this is what I'm talking about, the right size package with the right price, $5.46 with FREE SH on ebay<<<<beat that Amazombie. You cant tell me Priority Boxes are cheaper, well you can but you'd need some real good convincing evidence...............Every time I get a good deal with free SH it's with these envelopes not the boxes.


And what's with this no package tracking with envelopes, I could've track this package when it left the door on ebay.

If I understand the controversy, there may well be free shipping. Well, that is, that Amazon guys pays it, until his competition goes out of business and then you can bet, it won't be free anymore. Typical BIG business model.

Like you said, "The right size package....."

I would use an appropriately sized flat rate box. Then mark heavy on it all over the place and send it out.
