... These are just one generation evolved beyond open-tub cooling reservoir like a 1920's stationary engine. (well maybe overstated a little. :D)

I think that's pretty accurate, especially the non-water pump convection style. I don't have a Yanmar cooled this way, but have a Kubota machine that doesn't use a water pump. It's a simple, yet ingenious design.

Sorry, I was unclear. I don't have a convection circulation Yanmar, but my B6000 has that style cooling system.

That makes sense I was sure you was one of us Yanmarians! I have a heck of a time typing what my head is thinking most of the time.

My girlfriend IS awesome, and I'm really lucky. :D I've got her tractor at my place, but she drives it every so often (though not in her garden, as had originally been the plan...). I have pulled the duals off and replaced them with some cast iron wheel weights.

Just a reminder to everyone... don't forget to check your radiator screen. I was bush hogging my field and I noticed that the temperature kept creeping up. After ~ 3 hours, I stopped and took a look in the engine compartment. I noticed that my radiator screen was almost totally blocked. Yikes! I made a mental note to check it more often.

Yep depending on what im in i check every 30 mins or so. If its bad i continue to check as it is needed this often, if it is not as bad every few hours will work.
