I got a Overrun Clutch about a mouth ago, put it on for about 15min .Just to see how it would do. Today was going to bushhog It run about 45min. then the pin came out , It make a lot of noise when it came off.does these pin fall out of these overrun clutches easy. would it be best to just put a bolt back in it. or get a pin and put it back.

There are supposed to be grease zerks screwed in to secure the pin....OOPS forget that. You do have the QD version with missing parts.

Norm, his / mine Aren't made with grease zerks to hold the pin in place . You press down on the spring loaded pin to remove the over run clutch .

And generally the pin is designed to be held in place with a "C" clip over the top of the spring, under the lip of the pin. So--lost or missing "C" clip results in lost or missing pin and spring.

When and got a spring and a pin today . The C clip that came with it was not any good.So I when and got a C clip that was heavy duty. The one that came with it I could mash with one hand .The one I put on it took two hands. If you get one like that in the picture with the ear on it ,Trash it and get a heavy one.

The one in pic190 came with the spring and pin . If you look at the middle it is all most broke. So I when to a Hardware and got the heavy one.The pin would not go all the way in is why it came off it had a bur in it..I did not noticed that the spring didn't pull the locking pin all the way in on the first one but look close on the new pin.

I looked at my over-run clutch today ,& it don't have a c- clip that holds the spring on the pin. Mine appears to be braded on the end to keep the spring in place .
