Toyo Open Country AT were the best tires I ever had on a vehicle..

I have that tire on a F-250 4x4 diesel and like you said its a good tire.


The issue here is the guy bought tires weeks ago so no longer needed for us giving our $.02

I have also gone over 100K on 80K Michelin tires on an S-10 pickup but they were alot more money.

Michelins generally aren't cheap - but it pays to shop around a bit:

When I bought my LT225/75R16/E AT2's I got them from Discount Tire Warehouse Direct - Michelin had a rebate going at the time ($70 on a set of four tires), and there was an additional $50 rebate offered if you used a Car Care One credit card to pay for the purchase - so $120 total off or $30 per tire.

IIRC, the tire price at the time From DTWD was around $180 or $190 (and they are now down to $169 each) ...... add Ohio sales tax (6.75%)

Shipping (UPS Ground) to my door was free, and so was mounting and balancing at any DTW location.

The purchase (due to the amount) also qualified for "6 months same as cash" terms on the Car Care One card.
